Conn Selmer Institute Logo

Conn Selmer Institute, June 11-14 2023, In-Person or Online

Join us this June for Conn Selmer Institute! Held on the beautiful campus of Bethel University in Mishawaka, IN, this three and a half day professional development conference is designed for college students, directors, and music program leaders. Our world-class faculty leads a curriculum with specialized tracks focusing on college students, new music educators, middle school directors, high school directors including marching arts, and music administrators.


Conn Selmer Institute Tempe

Conn Selmer Institute: Atlanta, April 29th, 2023

Join us on for a one-day Conn Selmer Institute regional event at North Atlanta High School. We are excited to offer an enriching day of professional development for music educators and college students featuring engaging sessions by our world-class Conn Selmer educational clinicians including a special keynote address by Dr. Tim Lautzenheiser! This event will also include a FREE afternoon Parent Booster Workshop led by Dr. David Vandewalker.

Concert Artistry

Concert Artistry - Concert Artistry Community Chat featuring Special Guest, Brian Balmages - March 1, 2023 07:00PM Eastern Time (US and Canada)

Brian Balmages' compositions span the worlds of band, orchestra and chamber music, and he also enjoys international recognition as a conductor. Join us as Brian provides insights into seeing his pieces through the eyes of the composer. He will share ideas for elevating your ensemble to greater artistic heights through careful study before ever stepping on the podium to teach a piece.

HBCU Collective

HBCU Collective - Music Moments with the HBCU Collective: "Making History: From The Midwest Clinic to the Grammys with Tennessee State University" - March 22, 2023 08:30 AM Eastern Time (US and Canada)

Musical Moments with the HBCU Collective is excited to host members of the band staff at Tennessee State University. They have had a historical academic year filled with numerous performances and awards. Listen in to hear how the program made history by becoming the first HBCU to perform at The Midwest Clinic and earn two Grammy Awards. We will hear from Conn Selmer Educational Clinician and Director of Bands, Dr. Reginald McDonald as well as directors Larry Jenkins and James Sexton.
